Dr. Canfield is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her doctorate from Pacific University in Oregon. Before entering private practice, she worked with the Autism Clinic at Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU), performing diagnostic evaluations for children suspected of having autism. Also, during her time with OHSU, she participated in National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant-funded research, completing developmental/cognitive testing for children with rare developmental disabilties. In addition to her training in a hospital setting, she has honed her skills in a variety of other settings, including an Autism center, community mental health centers, preschools, a residential school for children and adolescents with comorbid mental health and developmental disability diagnoses, and a university counseling center.
